About St. Leonard's Tours
St. Leonard's Tours is a family-run Belize tour operator based at San Lorenzo Farm near San Ignacio in the Cayo District. Our local guides lead cave tubing, Xunantunich Maya ruins, horseback riding, ATM Cave, Caracol and other day tours across western Belize.
From San Lorenzo Farm to St. Leonard’s Tours
St. Leonard’s Tours grew from San Lorenzo Farm, our family’s home base in the Cayo District. Before tourism became part of the business, life here centered on farming, planting crops and caring for animals, especially the horses that would later become part of our tours.
More than a decade ago, the family began using the farm and its landscape in a new way: offering horseback rides toward nearby Maya sites. Those early rides gradually grew into a wider tour operation, taking guests beyond the farm to explore western Belize.
As St. Leonard’s expanded, the family’s interest in Belize’s archaeology and history deepened as well. Connections with archaeologists and scientists led to archaeological conferences and continued learning — knowledge that now forms part of the way our guides interpret the places guests visit.
St. Leonard’s has grown, but San Lorenzo Farm remains home — and the starting point of our story.

ST. LEONARD’S TEAMQuestions Worth Asking Before You Book
Before spending a day in the caves, on horseback or at a Maya site, you should know who is taking you, what the activity requires and what happens if conditions change.
Who will lead my tour?
St. Leonard’s is a local team based in the Cayo District, and we believe guests should know the people behind the business. The team members you see above are part of the operation. For activities that require specific guide credentials, confirm the guide arrangement for your chosen tour when booking.
What should I know about safety and physical requirements?
Different adventures have different requirements. Horseback riding, cave tubing and cave expeditions are not physically the same experience. Check the individual tour page for the difficulty level, participation limits, what to bring and the equipment provided. If you are unsure whether a tour is suitable for you or someone in your group, ask us before booking.
What happens if weather or site conditions change?
Belize adventures take place outdoors, so heavy rain, river conditions, road access or attraction closures can sometimes affect a planned day. If conditions require a change, St. Leonard’s will communicate the available options with you according to the tour and the applicable booking or cancellation policy.
How can I verify who I’m booking with?
St. Leonard’s is based at San Lorenzo Farm in the Cayo District. Before launch, this answer should also show the company’s current Belize Tourism Board licence number and a short verified insurance statement so guests can confirm the operator behind their booking.
